Blow in Cellulose..................................................
We only install cellulose insulation for two very good reasons; it's the best thermal and sound control insulation on the market AND it's the least expensive! Because of the convection loops inside the fluffy insulation, blow in fiberglass looses it's rated R-value as the temperature in your attic goes down. In other words the reason it doesn't settle is the very same reason it looses it's thermal efficiency! The only way to correct this is to add a layer of cellulose on top.
Basic installation includes; Enough insulation to bring the attic up to current code (14" or R-42), proper vents, blower rental, labor and clean up. Minimum installation: 1000 square feet. Attic must be readily accessible.
